Rules
1. GUILD RULES
If there are any problems you should contact an officer or the GM. Wether it’s suggestions, complaints or some real life issues you wanna share… We’re here to listen and to help out
All normal guild rules regarding etiquette apply.
A good attitude is the most important thing and it makes for a happy guild. And when it comes to raiding… Just try to focus on the progression for the guild and the people in it instead of only focusing on your own character and your own gear. After all, this guild is intended to be your in game family so treat it like one!
Guild bank items are generally sold for 50% of the lowest price on AH at that time, although there are some exceptions to this rule. Funds will go to the guild bank and will then be used for raiding, getting people geared up or events.
You do not ask money from guildies for crafting items! After all it’s just pushing a button
We are dedicated to helping people get gear through dungeons and heroics, and at the same time, teach crucial raiding techniques that the bigger guilds would expect you to know, all in a non-pressure environment.
Don’t beg. It’s a game. You’re supposed to go out and do quests, kill things, and generally earn your way up. Although people often enjoy helping each other out, they don’t like to do everything for you by and large. They certainly don’t like it when people beg for money and items. It’s okay to ask for help, but don’t beg, be polite if someone refuses, and don’t act like you’re entitled to whatever you want.
We encourage members to collaborate and be helpful. The calender is a great way to schedule for groupevents to help eachother out. Please let an officer or the GM know if you wanna plan something so they can put it on there.
Officers welcome feedback from guild members through personal messages or posts on the website.
Put your English to good use! A lot of people think that English skills don’t mean anything. You sometimes see people make the argument that it just doesn’t matter if you’re being grammatically correct or spelling correctly as long as you’re getting your message across. Well… a lot of people think they’re being clear when they aren’t. You see people ask questions that were worded in such a way that they could mean any of several equally valid things. Think about how you word your communications; you may think you’re being clear, but people who can’t read your mind might see things differently.
You’re not allowed to steal, spam, lie or treat people from other guilds badly. We don’t want a bad reputation, and anyone contributing to that effect will be punished by a guildkick.
All members who are inactive as seen by “Last Online” for two weeks or longer without having given prior notice will be removed from “Cruel Intentions”.
2. RAIDING RULES
We raid ICC10 on Wednesday / Thursday / Friday / Monday and have a fresh run on Tuesday for the people who weren’t able to come during the week. If people need gear from another raid then one of the above we will make a special effort for them so they can get it.
This guild focuses on ICC10 man to keep it cozy and that way get to know each other better. If we have enough people we will of course make more than one group, which seems obvious.
You are not allowed to pug raids that are on the calender for that week and haven’t been cleared yet! If you warn an officer in advance an exception might be made…
We need people with a mature mentality, that don’t mind sitting out a raid, that don’t mind getting saved on progression raids, that at least have enough responsibility to get all the gear they can get with emblems and get everything correctly enchanted and gemmed. Also people shouldn’t whine, beg or complain about things. This is not fun for the other guild members and it will actually decrease your chances on getting an invite for the raid. The same thing goes for whispering the raid leader and begging him/her for an invite.
Loot is constributed as followed: DKP for mainspec, roll for offspec. Ranged weapons go to ranged, melee weapons to melee, cloth items to clothies, plate items to platewearers and so on… Mainspec gets priority over offspec. You will be asked to assign a mainspec and an offspec for looting purposes. If, for an offspec item, you already got a piece of loot from a previous boss you will get second pick if someone else needs on the current loot aswell. For more info on our DKP system, see below.
We expect you to be online at least 15 minutes before the raid starts. Not ready for your invite = no raiding. There will be a 10 minute break in the middle of every raid.
Try to sign up for our raidnights in advance. If you signed up for a raid you get picked over people that did not sign up + you get punctuality dkp. But be aware: if you signed up but don’t show up on time, you get minus dkp.
All items that are obtained through professions (enchanting, skinning, engineering,…) will go into the guildbank.
Raiding under “Cruel Intentions” is supposed to be relaxed and fun.
Pessimism, bad attitude, and overall disdain for leadership will not be tolerated. You will show up, do your job, kill bosses, get loot, and see progression. Nah!
You must (at least) have the Deadly Boss Mods addon installed when raiding! Tanks should have either Omen or Threat Plates and healers should have healbot. All these addons can easily be managed through Curse Client. Our guildmember Tibb has made a nice raidingpack with all the required addons. You can download it easily here.
When we step into a boss fight for the first time, it is not for gear, it is for learning the fight so that we may have progressive runs for gear.
Failure in a dungeon or raid encounter is a learning experience. There will be no screaming or name-calling or cursing about our 20th wipe on the same boss. We win as a team and we fail as a team. We will find our weaknesses and address them, and TRY AGAIN.
Characters who can play a dual role will be asked to learn both play styles and to build both gear sets. For each character with a dual role, a mainspec and an offspec will be designated. For example: if you’re playing a death knight, but you have a tankspec besides your dps spec, it will be easier for you to get into raids with us. So dualspeccing is basicly something you must do for yourself
We ask that you show respect for your fellow members, both in raid chat and vent. Please respect the raid leader also. If you have a suggestion, do not interrupt the raid leader while he or she is speaking. Once the raid leader is done, he/she will ask if anyone has any remarks. If you do, you may give them then. Also, keep vent chat to a minimum during boss explanations and fights so that instructions can be heard and so that people can focus.
All members are expected to perform to the best of their abilities and are accountable for their play. You must adhere to the strategies and instructions given by the raid leaders. Everyone is expected to have a deep understanding of their class and spec. Members should seek out information from sources outside of the game or from other players in the game as often as possible. Everyone must be open to receiving constructive criticism and be willing to give constructive criticism when appropriate or asked. Everyone’s goal should be to improve their play and increase the synergy of the raidteam.
If you have any complaints, or any issues to discuss, you do it AFTER a raid. Raids are not there to be a forum for discussion, they’re there to provide us with a fun time killing bosses and getting loot.
Wipe recovery is an important aspect of raiding. When we wipe, you will not go AFK, and you will release your body to the graveyard and start running back immediately, unless told otherwise.
Be prepared! All members signing up for raids are expected to adhere to the following guidelines for raid preparedness to ensure a smooth run. Habitual failure to adhere to these standards for preparedness will result in decreased chances on getting invited in the next raids.
- Bring along a good attitude: we’re going to wipe… a lot!
- Bring flasks, lots of health/mana potions and reagants for buffing!
- You must be properly geared for our current level of content, and all gear must be gemmed and enchanted appropriately for your class/spec. You must be glyphed appropriately for your class/spec.
- Make sure you have any encounter-specific gear, macros, and addons ready before the raid begins.
- Listen on vent in the proper channel at all times.
3. DKP
We work with a dkp system we created ourselves. This means that you will be able to earn points in different ways. When we are raiding and loot drops, the person with the highest amount of dkp (points) wins the item. When a person receives an item his amount of dkp will be cut with 50% for drops from ICC10. This is a percent of total DKP at the time the loot drops, not what the site says as it is not updated while we are in the raid.
This is only for gear that is used for mainspec! If noone wants an item for mainspec, then people can simply roll on the loot for their offspec (1 item per man: this means you get second pick on the next roll). Getting an item for your offspec will not result in lesser dkp so there is no reason for you not to take it…
You are not allowed to pass on loot that is obviously an upgrade for you just so you can stay high on the dkp list!
We will only work with dkp for complete guildruns for ICC10 as assigned on the calender by officers. If we can’t make a run because not enough guildies showed up the raid will simply be canceled and no dkp can be earned/spend for that night. If raids are made by guildmembers themself instead of an officer, dkp can not be earned.
Dkp goes to a person and not the character. In return this means that if you wanna raid with your alts, they should be geared enough to do so. Also, if we ask you to come to the raid with another character then you have chosen for that night you shouldn’t mind about that.
We try to rotate people as much as possible in order for the dkp to even out a little and to keep things as fair as possible.
- Startingdkp: 5
When you just joined our guild you get 5 dkp.
- Punctuality: 1.25
You signed up for the raid, are on time for the invite and take your flasks.
- Duration: 0.75
At the end of the raid, a reward is given for staying the whole raid.
- Time spent: 1
For each hour spent in the raid.
- Boss kill: 0.25
For each boss that is killed in ICC.
- First kill: 2.75
If an ICC boss is killed for the very first time.
- Progression: 1.25
If you come to a progressionraid, a bonus will be awarded.
- Extra hours: 1.25
If we raid longer then 3 hours 1.25 dkp per hour will be earned instead of 1 dkp per hour.
- Sitting bench: 1
You get dkp for sitting bench: 1 dkp per hour. If however you make advantage of this, for example by just staying logged in to give the impression you are sitting bench but not really being there we will deduct 150% from the dkp that you earned for that night. If you sit bench and you eventually have to step into the raid to replace someone you will also get the punctuality dkp the other raiders got.
- No warning: – 2
If you signed up for a raid but aren’t there for an invite without warning an officer (ingame mail, forum, pm, wisper an officer, vent,…) you will lose dkp.
- Guildbank: depends
From time to time, when the guildbank is short on certain supplies, we may reward people with a certain amount of dkp for helping us restock them. This will be announced to everyone and the amount of dkp that can be earned will depend on the value of those items.
